Life-long Learning Lay-led Torah study meets on Saturdays from 9:00 - 9:45 a.m. We read the parasha of the week together, share favorite d'vrai Torah, discuss, and continually seek to find new and relevant meaning in our most beloved and sacred text. No prior study of the Torah or Hebrew knowledge is necessary and all are welcome. On Saturdays from 9:45 - 10:45am, following Torah study, Rabbi Amy leads a class. Class topics are wide ranging and the discussion is always lively. Here is the 2010 Schedule for download. Occassionally, we have speakers make presentations that we record. These can be found on the CBH Resources page. Lunch & Learn Tuesdays, 12:30 p.m. The "lunch" is optional; feel free to bring a non-meat sandwich, salad or snack and nibble while we learn. The "learn" part is a given - we all soak up Rabbi Amy's tidbits and explanations as we explore various texts. Come any Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. and see for yourself. Check the calendar to confirm dates. For more information, call Shirley Max, 908-273-4850. Note, Lunch & Learn does not meet during the summer months. Rimon Update

Welcome From Connie Seligman "When two sit together and words of Torah* pass between them, the Divine Presence rests between them." *Torah represents not only the study of the Five Books of Moses, but of all forms of Jewish learning Something very special happens when we learn together as a community. Whether we are studying the portion of the week, learning about the Dead Sea Scrolls, the poetry of Yehuda Amichai or a host of other subjects, the camaraderie, the intellectual stimulation, the humor, all combine with the spirit of Shabbat to make the learning experience at Congregation Beth Hatikvah unique. We encourage you to join us any Saturday morning between 9 and 10:45. You do not have to know Hebrew or be a scholar to enjoy the morning. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow congregants and to model for your children how the learning never ends in a Jewish life. Recent topics of study and discussion include:
