Religious Education

At CBH, we believe that religious education should be an intrinsic part of our Jewish experience, not limited to the classroom. We have programs that are geared to the needs of various consituencies in our membership.

Preschool

Our preschool program is oriented to families with young chldren and includes a monthly Tot Shabbat and playgroup for kids and parents, which meets monthly during the school year.

Religious School

The CBH religious school goes from kindergarten through 9th grade.

B'nai Mitzvah

A child's bar/ bat mitzvah is a communal event, not just a family event. We provide extensive resources to help the family and child experience the joy of this important milestone.

Teen Programs

Our teens program is designed to engage CBH teenagesrs who are in high school.

Life-long Learning

CBH has an active community of adults who are committed to life-long learning.

Meet Ken Chan

At my conversion Bet Din (rabbinic court), the following occurred:

Rabbi Ehrenkrantz: Ken, I know you are the kind that searches deeply. How do I know that in ten years time, you will not have gone onto something else?

Me: Rabbi Ehrenkrantz, there is a mystery about Jewish texts that attracts me. And the Jewish corpus is so large that I do not believe I will finish it in my lifetime.

It's been eights years since that day, and these texts have not failed me and they continue to intrigue and sustain me everyday.
