Why CBH Kids and Their Families Love Our School

Active learning – We learn by doing: making things, going places, singing, writing, talking.  Our kids feel the happiness and pride of being Jewish and part of a community that cares about them.

Convenience – Classes once a week and, starting in fourth grade, individual Hebrew instruction, via skype or in person, scheduled around your life

Loving teachers, administrator, and rabbi--We appreciate your kid for who he or she is.

Personalized Bar/Bat Mitzvah

At CBH, b’nai mitzvah are joyous occasions for the children, the families, and the whole congregation.

Our warm, easy-to-talk-to rabbi and caring education director work with each kid to create a personal and very meaningful experience he or she will be proud of and remember forever.

"The boys love coming to Tot Shabbat, which was 100% why we chose CBH. Thank you, Morah Margie, for creating a welcoming, approachable and meaningful Jewish experience"  [B., Tot Shabbat parent]

"Tot Shabbat is very important to me!" [C. to his mother]

Engaged Teens

Emphasizing social justice and involvement in the community, our confirmation program for grades 8 – 10 fosters Jewish identity on a mature level.

Our kids also participate in BBYO, a pluralistic national youth group that gives Jewish teens a chance to socialize in fun, meaningful, and affordable activities.  The local chapter meets at CBH.
