MEET OUR RABBI
Rabbi Hannah Orden
A rabbi with a sense of humor, a warm heart, and an ardent soul, Rabbi Hannah Orden cares passionately about our congregation and about creating a better world.
Rabbi Hannah became our spiritual leader in 2014, and since then has blessed our community with her special blend of love, laughter, and dedication. She has an extensive background in Jewish education as well as a strong commitment to community building and social action, evident in her work with Summit Interfaith Council, of which she is President and where she serves on the Anti-Racism Task Force.
Before coming to CBH, Rabbi Orden was the rabbi for Temple B’nai Israel in Laconia, New Hampshire and served on the adjunct faculty for Hebrew College in Newton, Massachusetts where she earned her rabbinic ordination and Master of Arts in Jewish Studies.
MEET OUR CANTORIAL LEADER
During the week Steve is a Portfolio Manager, but come Shabbat, he transforms into our cantorial leader. Steve may not have a cantorial degree, but his voice will touch your soul. He has led our songs and prayers for over 15 years.
As a Reconstructionist synagogue, we make Judaism relevant to our modern lives and strive to create a sense of unity among our diverse community – Jew and non-Jew, men and women, straight and LGBTQ, and people of different ethnicities, beliefs, political stripes, and backgrounds.
