OUR LEADERSHIP
Our religious and lay leaders pride themselves on creating meaningful interactions

MEET OUR RELIGIOUS SCHOOL DIRECTOR
Emily Winter
Emily grew up learning and loving Jewish studies, and considers collaboration and teamwork some of her most important qualities. She has a passion for designing creative curricula, hands-on programming, and working with other educators to ensure Hebrew and Judaic education are fun and fulfilling. She hopes to further develop and enhance the religious school, to connect students to their own Jewish educational journey that they can hold onto for years to come.
Emily has a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University and a master’s degree from Hunter College in Childhood Education. She has taught in New York City public schools, as well as at religious schools throughout New York and New Jersey. Emily lives in Livingston with her husband and son.

MEET OUR CANTORIAL LEADER
Steve Wetter
During the week, Steve is a portfolio manager, but come Shabbat, he transforms into our cantorial leader. He has led our songs and prayers for more than 15 years. His amazing voice will truly touch your soul.

Meet Our President
Peggy Dugan
Peggy joined CBH in 2004 and has worn many hats over the years including Religious School teacher, Program committee and Membership chair, assistant to Michael Hyman for High Holidays, teacher of cooking to the teens, chef of the breakfasts, and most recently 1st VP. Peggy and her husband Terry live in Summit and have 3 grown children.

MEET OUR RABBI EMERITUS
Rabbi Hannah Orden
A rabbi with a sense of humor, a warm heart, and an ardent soul, Hannah cares passionately about our congregation and creating a better world.
Hannah joined CBH as our spiritual leader in 2014, and since then has blessed our community with her special blend of love, laughter, and dedication. She has an extensive background in Jewish education as well as a strong commitment to community building and social action, evidenced in her work with the Summit Interfaith Council, where she served as President, and on the Anti-Racism Task Force.
Before coming to CBH, Hannah was the rabbi at Temple B’nai Israel in Laconia, New Hampshire, and served on the adjunct faculty for Hebrew College in Newton, Massachusetts, where she earned her rabbinic ordination and Master of Arts in Jewish Studies.

Meet Our Office Administrator
Erin Orsini
Erin has a background in event planning and group organization. She holds a degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management from the University of Delaware and has worked for private catering companies, Hilton Hotels, BMW North America, and most recently as an educational clerk for the Township of Union school district. An active PTA member since 2007 and a volunteer with both Girl Scouts and Scouts of America (formerly Boy Scouts of America) since 2009, she enjoys using all her skills to be a valuable member of CBH.
