Schedule of Services

Rabbi Allyson Zacharoff, our new rabbi at CBH, will be leading our High Holiday Services this year. If you are planning on attending in person, you must register by September 14th for Rosh Hashannah and September 21st for Yom Kippur. lf you are a CBH member, attending is free. If not, we recommend a $90 donation per adult.

All of our services are available both in-person at CBH and on Zoom, unless otherwise noted. To attend the indoor events you must register above. Wearing a mask is optional. Please do not attend in-person if you are sick.

Family programming will be provided on Saturday, September 16th and Monday, September 25th from 9 AM until morning services finish.

Doors open 30 minutes prior to each service.

Family Programs

Children’s activities will be provided at CBH in the Teen Lounge during the High Holiday services on Saturday, September 16th (Rosh Hashannah day 1) and the morning of Monday, September 25th (Yom Kippur). There will be holiday-inspired crafts and a snack will be provided. A family service will be held in the Teen Lounge at approximately 11:00am; the main service will continue during this. The Rabbi will announce within the main service when the family service will begin to give you an opportunity to join your children. If your child is planning on attending either of these programs, please register for High Holidays.

Yom Kippur Afternoon Programming

1 PM - 2 PM - IN PERSON ONLY 50th Anniversary of the Yom Kippur War -- Michael Magaril presenting in the library

2 PM - 3 PM - IN PERSON ONLY: Sound Bath using Himalayan singing bowls -- Dara Diamant presenting in the teen lounge (feel free to bring a yoga mat and small pillow or similar if you wish to recline)

2 PM - 3 PM - ZOOM ONLY Reconstructing Judaism Adopts a Resolution on Reparations - The Anti-Racism Project at CBH will conduct a Yom Kippur afternoon breakout session to introduce and discuss this important resolution and what it might mean for our congregation. You can read the resolution prior to the discussion here.

3 PM - 4 PM - IN PERSON ONLY: Summoning courage: What is courage? When do we need it? What is it best used for? When others display courage, does that encourage us to act courageously? -- Bruce Estrig presenting in the library

All of the services will be streamed on Zoom. You will not be able to show your video or unmute. You will be asked to register the first time you join the meeting.

If you are attending virtually and are not a member, we recommend a donation of at least $18 per adult. You can make a donation below

 

Attending as a Non-Member

If you are not a CBH member, you are welcome to attend! We recommend a $90 donation per adult. Please register, and a link to make the payment will be provided after registering. You will not be admitted if you do not register.
