Children's Programming
Activities for 2nd-5th graders will be provided at CBH starting at 9:30 AM during Rosh Hashannah day 1 (Thursday, October 3rd) and Yom Kippur morning (Saturday, October 12th). If your child is planning on attending either of these programs, please register for High Holidays.
Your 2nd-5th grader can be dropped off between 9:30 AM and 10 AM. Programming will be provided until 11 AM, at which point your child will join the congregation in the main service.
Please contact Emily Winter at [email protected] for more details about the family programming.
Yom Kippur Afternoon Programming
2:00 PM - 3:30 pm, Al Chet for the Sins of Racism
Come share a new approach to reciting the Al Chet as a community — our opportunity to bring Yom Kippur’s transformative spirit of atonement, healing and connection to the sins of racism that persists in our lives and in our systems. We will read and discuss an adaptation of the prayer as written by Yavilah McCoy, a renowned educator and a pioneer of the Jewish diversity and equity movement.
Some questions that are raised are: As we think of the most vulnerable among us, how will we seek forgiveness? How will we reach ahead with hope against discrimination and hate?
We will be meeting at 2pm and the program will be accessible in person and on Zoom.
ZOOM Access
All of the services will be streamed on Zoom. You will not be able to show your video or unmute. You will be asked to register the first time you join the meeting.
